CAREER OVERVIEW

During a 25 year career in local government, I delivered and managed both internal audit and accountancy services. For the last 12 years I have worked exclusively in the education sector. I led a team of finance professionals delivering services to schools for over 11 years. I have provided financial management and leadership advice to a wide variety of schools and trusts.

Specialist areas: due diligence reviews, ICFP reviews, policy and procedure reviews and central services reviews.

I have provided financial management and leadership advice to a wide variety of schools and multi-academy trusts and I have supported trusts through formations, mergers and growth. I have an excellent understanding of strategic planning, financial procedures, value for money, control and governance requirements in the education sector. I am a CIPFA-qualified accountant. I have been accredited as an SRMA since 2019.
